Schuler Phillips "Phil" Baird, Jr.

Schuler Phillips "Phil" Baird, Jr. died Sunday, October 23, 2016 at the Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville. Phil was born on October 3, 1937 to Schuler P. Baird and Sarah Hebner Baird, he was a life long resident of Clarksville and was active in several business there, most notably Eastern Bowling Lanes that he and his wife Jan owned and managed for several years. He served in the U.S. Navy, and was a member of Howard Park Christian Church.  He loved riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle with his Buckhead Buddies.

He as preceded in death by his parents and his first wife and mother of his children Norma Swallows Baird.

Survivors include his daughter, Dana Zimmerman of Clarksville, two sons, Schuler P. "Chip" Baird, III and his wife Kyle of Clarksville and Scott Alan Baird of Jeffersonville, a brother, Randall Baird, one grandson, Tyler Zimmerman, and his two cats, PK and Dana.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Chapman Funeral Home, with cremation to follow per his request. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, and after 9:00 AM on Thursday.

Expression of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to the Animal Protection Agency, 702 East 11th Street, Jeffersonville, In., 47130 or the Howard Park Christian Church.
