Vernon Russell Smith

Vernon Russell Smith, 81, died Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Clark Memorial Hospital. He was born in Gradyville, KY and retired as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army with 20 years of service.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Shirley Polston Smith, two sons, David Smith (Jennifer) of Jeffersonville, and Ricky Smith (Rosemarie) of Louisville, and 5 grandchildren, Micah Smith, Cody Smith, Justin Smith, Katie Smith, and Courtney Smith.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Chapman Funeral Home, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 to 7:00 and Monday after 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
