Robert Dean Phillips

Robert Dean Phillips, 81, died Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Floyd Memorial Hospital. He was born in Kendallville, IN., and was a retired plant manager for Brockway Container. He was an Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion Bonnie Sloan Post 28 in New Albany, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Jeffersonville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Edmund and Ruth Irene Smolinski Phillips, and a son Brian Michael Phillips.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years Phyllis Church Phillips, a son, Doug Phillips (Crystal) of Troutman, NC.,three daughters, Karen Sarver (Doug) of Marysville, Pam Deeringer (Tim) of Charlestown, and Sarah Montgomery (Tony) of Sellersburg, 12 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Chapman Funeral Home with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany. Visitation will be from 3-8 pm Friday and from 9-10:30 on Saturday at the funeral home.
