Carolyn L (Buchanan) Brown

Carolyn L. Brown, 72, died Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Clark Memorial Hospital. She was born in Washington County, Indiana, she was a retired beautician and also a bartender for VFW Post 1832 in Jeffersonville. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary.

She was preceded in death by her parents Mitchell and Mildred Buchanan, two brothers, David and Jim Stewart, and a Great Grand child, Anyia Brown.

Survivors include a son, Mark Brown (Denise) of Sellersburg, three daughters, Sherry Holden of Jeffersonville, Melissa Estes (Dale) of Clarksville, and Pamela Brown of Jeffersonville, a brother, Steve Buchanan of Charlestown, six grandchildren, Amy Moore (William),  Heather Holden, Michael Estes (Jodie), Casey Hill (Adam), Amber Brown, and Airman First Class Matthew Holden, and 8 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Chapman Funeral Home, Clarksville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 8:00 on Monday, and from 9:00 am until the time of the service on Tuesday. Online condolences at www.chapmanfuneralhome.net
