William George Snyder, 94, died Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Westminister Health Care in Clarksville. He was born in Prairie du Chien, WI., and was a retired soap maker for Colgate Palmolive Co. He was an Army Veteran of WWII, a member of VFW Post 3281, American Legion Bonnie Sloan Post 28, Life Member of the NRA, the Southern Indiana R & P Club, he attended Grace Lutheran Church in New Albany.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Snyder, and a sister, Glee Mulrooney,
Survivors include a son, Michael W. Snyder (Brenda) of New Albany, two grand daughters, Sally Snyder and Audrey Steier, four great-grandchildren, a sister, Anita Anno and a brother-in-law, Jack Mulrooney.
Cremation was chosen per his request. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, June 25, 2018 at Chapman Funeral Home with burial of ashes to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
