Warina Wright, 61, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022 at Baptist Floyd Hospital in New Albany. She was born in Chicago and was a former CNA in the Health Care System. She was affectionally known as "Wee Wee" to her friends and family, and she was the life of the party and everyone enjoyed being with her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Gloria Flowers Jackson, and the love of her life for 30 plus years Alvin Cola III.
Survivors include her daughter, Shetwana Martin (T.J.) of New Albany, a son, Denzel Wright of Spokane, WA., five sisters, Pecolia Hopson of Savannah, Ga., Carmen Hopson of Savannah , GA., Artavia Fulton of Savannah, Ga., Georgette Cobbins of Muncie, IN., and Cynthia Williams of Indianapolis, IN., six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, and her childhood best friend Sherry "CoCo " Brown of Savannah, GA. Cremation was chosen.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 07, 2023 at 1:30 PM at the True Worshippers Louisville Church located at 720 Burton Ave., Louisville, KY. 40208. It will be followed by a repast with family and friends in New Albany, IN.
