Stephen Fein

Stephen Paul Fein, age 76, of Lanesville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home at 2:25 AM on Saturday, September 20, 2025.He was born on February 24, 1949, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Alan Stephens and Teresa Fein Stephens.

Stephen was a devoted member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and a proud veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves. He retired from TARC after 27 years of service, where he worked as a coach operator, training instructor, and financial secretary for the union. He also served on the Labor Council for the ATU.

Over the years, Stephen drove for the University of Louisville men’s basketball team as well as DeSales High School, where he also contributed his time on the fundraising committee for the annual Labor Day at the Zoo.

Outside of his work and community involvement, Stephen’s greatest joy was working on and restoring classic cars. He especially loved his project of bringing a 1948 Ford back to life.

Stephen is survived by his loving wife, Deanna Fein; his children, Wendy Headrick, Kelly Fellonneau, and Andrea Swinney; his step-sons, Chris Bernhart and Shawn Bernhart; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 5 to 7 PM at Chapman Funeral Home, 431 West Harrison Avenue, Clarksville, Indiana 47129.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to DeSales High School.
