Shelly S (Flick) Humphrey

Shelly S. Humphrey, age 69, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away at 12:48 a.m. on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born on September 4, 1956, in New Albany, Indiana, Shelly was the daughter of the late Ronald Flick and Patsy Gorman Leach. She retired after many years as a seamstress for the former M. Fine and Sons Clothing.

She was a member of the VFW post 1693, Hobart Beach Post in New Albany, Indiana, where she and her late husband, Gary enjoyed attending memorial events and spending time with the other members. Shelly also enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved camping, fishing, hunting, riding their motorcycle with Gary. Shelly was also a devoted University of Kentucky fan and rarely missed cheering on the Wildcats.

Shelly is survived by her children, Melissa Roberts (Tay), Randall Roberts (Becky), Melinda Palazzo – Tripp (Adam), and Samuel Palazzo (Lisa); 18 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; her siblings, Rick Flick, Brenda Lee (Randy), Teresa Simpson (Gary) and Stacy Rose (Steve).

In addition to her parents, Shelly is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Humphery.

Visitation for Shelly will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with her funeral service beginning at 6 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home, 431 West Harrison Avenue, Clarksville, IN 47129
