Sharon F, (Fulkerson) Gardner

Sharon F. (Fulkerson) Gardner, age 85, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at 8:55 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at her residence. She was born on January 23, 1941, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late William Barrett Fulkerson and Reva B. (Dillman) Fulkerson.

Sharon was a retired employee of McClure’s Drug Store in Clarksville. She was a faithful member of Charlestown Road Church of Christ, where her faith was an important part of her life. She found great joy in gardening and cherished every moment spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughter.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Thurston L. Gardner Jr.; her son, William Brian Gardner (Tammy) and her daughter, Jeanie Eichert (Bryan); her grandchildren, Michael Gardner, Lauren Gardner, Robert Eichert, and Daniel Eichert; her great-granddaughter, Adley Gardner; and her sisters, Nancy Bockoven, June Adam, and Kathy Young. 

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her sister, Ann McCutcheon, .

Visitation for Sharon will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home, 431 W. Harrison Avenue, Clarksville, Indiana 47129. Her funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by burial at Walnut Ridge Cemetery, 2421 Hamburg Pike, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130.
