Sarah Lynn Monroe, 91, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at 7:45 PM on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Riverview Village in Clarksville.
Born on January 31, 1934, in Gleason, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Charles Dudley Roney and Olivia Odell Parham Roney. Sara was a devoted member of Hamburg Pike Church of Christ and found joy in decorating, sewing, crocheting, and gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry Finch Monroe, and her brother, Dan Roney.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Marcia (Dennis) Bryant of Floyds Knobs and Jan (Scott) Louden; five cherished grandchildren; and 12 adored great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Sarah will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Chapman Funeral Home, 431 W. Harrison Avenue, Clarksville, IN 47129, with her funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that all expressions of sympathy be made to the Alzheimer's Association, PO Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090.
Sarah’s love, kindness, and creativity will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
