Peggy Pierce, 85, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Russellville, Kentucky. Peggy was an extraordinary mother to five children and anyone else who walked through the door. She was a loving "Beautiful Bride" to her adoring husband Earl for 67 years. She was a Member of Morton Memorial United Methodist Church since 1963 where she taught Sunday School for many years. She also attended Northside Christian Church.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, David Johnson, Lila McDonald and Elbert "Mack" McDonald, a son, Benjamin Pierce, and two brothers, Patrick and Daniel Knowles.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years Earl Pierce, three sons, Mike Pierce (Jana) of Milan, Ohio, Chuck Pierce and Scott Pierce both of Clarksville, a daughter, Cheryl Horlander of Clarksville, two brothers, Kenneth Johnson (Mary Lou) of Austin, TX. and Mark Knowles (Judy) of Shelbyville, KY., a sister, Cecilia Siebert (Jim) of Georgetown, IN.,five grandchildren, Luke Pierce, Cassidy Pierce, Jeremiah Pierce, Madison Horlander and Chandler Pierce, and three great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Emma and Jackson.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic concerns, facial coverings will be required for entry. Funeral services for close friends and family will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 1, 2021 at Chapman Funeral Home with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation for close friends and family will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 Friday.
Expressions of Sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
