Peggy Joyce (Otto) Christensen

Peggy Joyce Christensen, age 86, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at 5:10 AM on Monday, August 4, 2025, at Lincoln Hills Nursing Home in New Albany, Indiana.

She was born on December 24, 1938, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to the late Christian Otto and Lorece Miller Otto. Peggy was a retired bus driver for Greater Clark Schools and a devoted member of Freedom in the Cross Ministries. She had a lifelong love for photography and was known for photographing many weddings in the area. Earlier in her career, she owned and managed Joy Printing in Jeffersonville. She also loved her two dogs, Buddy and Fancy who brought her years of joy and companionship. She was known for her kind spirit, joyful personality, and the love she shared with everyone around her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daniel Carl Christensen.

Peggy is survived by her four nieces: Karen West Wadrop, Lanell West Thompson, Cheryl West Bornholdt, Donna Williams Randolph, her nephew, Gary Williams and a host of great nephews and nieces

She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Chapman Funeral Home, 431 W. Harrison Ave., Clarksville, IN 47129. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM, with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
