Michael Lee Blankenship, age 54, of English, Indiana, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026.
Born on May 29, 1972, in Louisville, Kentucky, Michael was the son of the late Joe Blankenship and Teresa Olliges (Terry), who survives.
Michael was a former employee of UPS and a graduate of RISD (Rhode Island School of Design) with a bachelor’s degree. He had a passion for drawing, music, and reading. He especially enjoyed watching the Discovery Channel and the History Channel, as he was always eager to learn something new. Above all else, Michael treasured the time he spent with his family and those he loved, his uncle Will, aunt Jan, uncle Mark and aunt Teresa.
In addition to his mother and stepfather, Terry, he is survived by his sisters, Christina Olliges and Candice B. Grasch; his two beloved nieces, who were a very special part of his life, Teresa Jones, and Jasmin Olliges; his best friend, Kirby Goff; and his lifelong childhood friend, John Scott Lyons. A few others close to his heart, Ron Cesario, Shawn Parker, Grace Gois, Stephanie Greenhill, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other friends.
His angels in Heaven who will be waiting on him to join them are, his maternal grandparents, Oneeta H. Searcy and Wilber Franklin Searcy Sr.; aunt, Susie Spencer; paternal grandparents, Eva Frances Olliges and Norman F. Olliges;
In keeping with Michael’s wishes, cremation has been chosen. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
Chapman Funeral Home, 431 West Harrison Avenue, Clarksville, Indiana, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
