Mattie L. (Dever) Stith

Mattie L. Stith, 91, of Clarksville, died Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Maple Manor Christian Home in Sellersburg. She went home to be with the love of her life John, and also joined her great grandson, Michael Talley in the heavens of our Lord. Mattie was the last living charter member of First Southern Baptist Church in Clarksville.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Gloria Dever (Richard), and Sandy Talley,  grandchildren, Robin Rhodes (David), Alan Dever (Charlotte), James M. Talley Jr. (Leigh) and Jocelyn Talley, great-grandchildren, Cody Rhodes (Margaret), Kasey Dever, Kolten Dever, BriAnna Talley, Chanel Talley, Brayden Talley and Maya Talley. Brother and sister-in-law Paul and Gaynell Stith and numerous nieces and nephews.

To the care givers, Sue Ann Stone, Lori Wray, Queena Bowman and Alyssa Hancock, we know you loved mom beyond measure, as it showed in the loving way you cared for her. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for that care and love you showed her.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Chapman Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
