Maria Ann Donohue

Maria Ann (Schaaf) Donohue, age 58, of Clarksville, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Clark Memorial Hospital.  Maria was born on July 3, 1966, in New Albany, Indiana to the late Norman Theodore Schaaf and Juanita Letha (Danner) Schaaf.  She was a member of St Anthony’s Catholic Church in Clarksville; a 1984 graduate of Providence High School and she was retired from the Census Bureau employee after 31 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her grandsons.

In addition to her parents, Maria was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Ann Donohue, her siblings, Michael Schaaf, Edwin Schaaf, and Patricia Brown.

Maria is survived by her husband of 40 years this November, Paul D. Donohue; her daughter, Shamron M.  (Ryan) Stewart ; grandchildren, Todd Stewart and Aiden Stewart; her siblings, Eddie Schaaf and Lisa (Bill) Hesleschwerdt; several nieces and nephews; along with several friends who she called “her adopted children. Also, Maria leaves behind her beloved dogs, Precious and Cano.

Visitation for Maria will be on Sunday, September 8, 2024 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Monday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. 

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 9, 2024 at 1 p.m.
