Lisa Ann Gabhart (Rauck), 68, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on the morning of March 21, 2026, with her children by her side.
Lisa was born and raised in southern Indiana and was a graduate of Clarksville High School, class of 1975. After a career as a legal secretary that spanned 25 years, Lisa embarked on a second chapter and earned her degree as a registered nurse from Ivy Tech. She worked for the better part of the next twenty years primarily at Norton Children’s Hospital, giving aid and comfort to children and their families during very challenging times. In 2015 Lisa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University, graduating with summa cum laude honors.
Lisa was an incredibly giving and loving human being, always willing to lend her time and treasure to support someone in need. She had a generous spirit and always saw the best in people, and she passed those qualities on to her children and their friends who saw her as a second mother figure. She was an avid fan of her Cincinnati Reds and she loved planting spring flowers, sunsets on the Gulf, relaxing with her cats, and being a Mimi to little Sadie. She will be profoundly missed by everyone who loved her.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Janice Rauck, her sister Debbie, and her beloved husband of 37 years Charlie Gabhart. She is survived by her children Jenn (Christina) and Spencer (Liz), her granddaughter Sadie, sister Darlene, brothers Jerry (Stephanie) and Jamie, and the countless lives who were touched by her light.
Memorial Visitation hours will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Chapman Funeral Home, 431 West Harrison Ave, Clarksville, IN 47129.
In honor of Lisa, the family suggests expressions of sympathy be made to the Dare to Care Food Bank, 5803 Fern Valley Road, Louisville, KY 40228
