LeRoy Geary

LeRoy Geary, age 82, of Clarksville, IN passed away at 10:03 p.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at his residence. LeRoy was born in Louisville, KY on November 22, 1941, to the late John Robert and Edna Ree Geary. He was a graduate of Clarksville high school, a retired railroad carman for the former K&I – Norfolk Southern Railroad. LeRoy enjoyed bird and rabbit hunting, fishing, traveling, IU basketball games, but his greatest hobby was being the best papa ever and never missing their activities.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Rebecca Jean Truesdell-Geary, his children, Richard Lee Geary (Laura Elizabeth), and Robert Lee Geary (Daniele Elaine); grandchildren, Caleb Roy Geary, Eva Marie Geary and Kirsten Marie Geary; brother, John Richard Geary (Sherry); along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours for LeRoy will be on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, from 1 – 8 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home, 431 West Harrison Ave, Clarksville, IN. His funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at the funeral home. LeRoy will be laid to rest at Liberty Cemetery in Lexington, IN.
