Judith Ann Nelson

Judith Ann Baukol Nelson, age 79, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully at 8:15 a.m. on Saturday,  March 8, 2025 at Traditions at Hunter Station. Born in Bimarck, North Dakota, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph P. Baukol and Ruth Hoyer Baukol. 

Judith dedicated her life to education, teaching in both public and private schools. She found great joy in shaping minds and making a lasting impact on her students. Above all, she charished spending time with her family creating lifelong memories with those she loved most.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Richard LeRoy Nelson. 

Judith is survived by her children, Peder Baukol (Rhesa) Nelson and Natalie Foreman; her grandchildren, Ava Foreman and Davin Nelson; and her sisters, Karen Baukol and Donna Lake.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has been chosen, and a memorial service will be held at a later date in North Carolina. 

Chapman Funeral Home has been entrusted with the local arrangements.
