Josefina (Cartagena) Gonzalez

Josefina Gonzalez age 99. passed away at 1:20 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025 at Norton Clark Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was born on February 28, 1926 in Aibonito, Puerto Rico, to the late Juan Cartagena and Rafaela Rivera. She was a retired seamstress for the old Lafayette Coat Factory. 
 

Josefina is survived by her children, Maria T. Flores and Maximo Gonzalez Jr. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Maximo Gonzalez Sr., and a daughter, Ada Irma Gonzalez. 

All local services are private, a celebration of life will be held at a later date in Puerto Rico.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Chapman Funeral Home, 431 West Harrison Ave, Clarksville, IN 47129.
