Obituary
Jeffery Carroll Basil, 63, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023 at Clark Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born in Clarksville, and was a maintenance worker for the University of Louisville. He was a member of Colgate Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carroll and Maxine Theis Basil, his wife, Sherry Isgrigg Basil, and a son, Marty Shelton.
Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Magarity (Steven) of Clarksville, two grandchildren, Makenna Basil and Kaden Magarity, three brothers, Mike Basil of Salem, Robert Basil of Clarksville, and Tommy Basil of Clarksville and a sister, Janice Basil of Clarksville.
Cremation was chosen per his request. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 26th, 2023 at Colgate Baptist Church, 125 E. Montgomery Ave., Clarksville, Indiana. Chapman Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
