Helen E (Sizemore) Firkins

Helen E. Firkins, age 86, of Clarksville, IN passed away at 5:25 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Lincoln Hills Health Care. Helen was born on January 5, 1938, in Altro, Kentucky to the late Farris and Bertha (Spicer) Sizemore. She attended The First Assembly of God Church in Jeffersonville and Memphis Christian Church in Memphis, Indiana. Helen was a retired maid for Clark Memorial Hospital, she thoroughly enjoyed gardening and  was an avid “Whatnot” collector. 

Survivors include her son, Donald E. Firkins of Clarksville, Indiana; grandson, Donald T. Firkins (Theresa) of Clarksville, Indiana; siblings, Kathleen Day of Memphis, IN and Tom Sizemore of Hazard, Kentucky.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee Firkins, daughter, Theresa Firkins and several brothers and sisters.

Calling hours for Helen will be on Saturday, July 6, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home, 431 West Harrison Ave, Clarksville, followed by her funeral service at 12:30 p.m.

Helen will be laid to rest at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, IN
