Gloria Atwood

Gloria Haun Atwood, age 78, of Clarksville, IN passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023. Gloria was born in Washington DC on December 21, 1944, to the late Arnold Haven and Edna Vivian (Oates) Haun. She was a member of Saint Paul's Episcopal Church and earned her degree as an X-Ray Technician from the University of Louisville. Gloria was highly active in the Clarksville School System serving on PTA and the PTO.  

 In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Vaughn Harrison Atwood Jr., and son James Allen Atwood. 

 Gloria is survived by her children, Sonja Stepp (David) of Clarksville, Scott Atwood of Clarksville, Troy Atwood (Gina) of Vacaville, CA, Tamara Lafferty (Bill) of Sellersburg, IN, Eric Atwood (Sue) of Clarksville, and Kim Atwood of Clarksville; 15 Grandchildren, and 19 Great Grandchildren. Brother-in-law, John Atwood (Sherry); Sister-in-law, Pat Tichonoff, Deanna Shiner; and a longtime family friend, James Hancock.  

 Visitation for Gloria will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Chapman Funeral Home 431 West Harrison Ave, Clarksville, IN 47129  

 Funeral Service will be at 11:30 A.M. Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at the funeral home.  

 Burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
