Franklin Tanner

Franklin E. Tanner, age 59, of Mitchell, IN passed away at 3:19 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2024, at Sellersburg Healthcare Center in Sellersburg. He was born in Richmond, Indiana on June 27, 1964, to the late Franklin Tanner and Rosella Shearer Vanwinkle. He was of the Baptist faith, and a retired service manager for Kentucky Truck Sales. Frank enjoyed music, he loved to play his guitar and sing karaoke with friends, he also enjoyed the outdoors by hunting and fishing every day if he could.

Along with Frank’s parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Vance Vanwinkle

Frank is survived by his children, Kayla Tanner, Michael Tanner, Cherish Tanner; Brian Carriger his siblings, Greg Tanner, Dana Root; and a stepfather, Arnold Vanwinkle.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Chapman Funeral Home, 431 West Harrison Ave, Clarksville, IN 47129. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Smith McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 Fountain City, IN 47341
