Delores Jean Fulkerson

Delores Jean Fulkerson, age 86, of New Albany, IN., passed away at 10:13 a.m. on Thursday, February, 12, 2026 at The Willows Senior Living. She was born on June 3, 1939 in Vine Grove, Kentucky to the late Virgil Trent and Dora Milburn Trent. 

She retired from ICI Powder Plant after many years of service and her biggest joy was spending time with her family. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her children, Donald Duane Mercer, and Stephen Dale Mercer; two sisters and one brother. 

Survivors include, her grandchildren, Steven Sheckell (Desira), Stephany Lynn Mercer (Jason), Stephen Mercer (Vivian), Donald Mercer (Brittney), Kris Mercer (Samantha), and Adam Griffin; thirteen great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren; two sisters and one brother. 

A private service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Chapman Funeral Home, 431 West Harrison Avenue, Clarksville, Indiana.
