Clyde Allen Staley, age 79, of Clarksville, passed away at 6:50 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Wedgewood Nursing Home. Clyde was born on December 4, 1944 in Lane County, Eugene, Oregon to the late Thomas Howard Staley and Muriel June Chetwood Staley. He retired after many years as a bank computer specialist. Clyde was known for his loving personality and touched the lives of many people that he came in contact with. Clyde enjoyed playing chess and Sudoku. He always said he played a one stringed instrument - the Yo-Yo. In High School, he received a scholarship to attend Caltech, where he majored in mathematics. Clyde was a graduate of Ambassador College, Big Sandy Texas, and had a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy.
He is survived by his wife, Anne Elizabeth Page Staley. His children Aaron Michael Staley of Kentucky, Shannon Black of Camarillo, California, and Isaac David Staley of Thousand Oaks, California. Also, including five grandchildren. His siblings, Floyd Lee Staley, deceased 2021, David Ray Staley of Eugene, Oregon, Jeanette Ann Staley of Springfield, Oregon, James Neal Staley of Eugene, Oregon, and Thomas Howard Staley II of Bend, Oregon. His Aunt, Nancy Staley of Junction City, Oregon.
A memorial visitation for Clyde will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2024 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home, 431 West Harrison Avenue, Clarksville, IN 47129, including a memorial service at 2:15 p.m.
