Charles William "Willy" Martin

Charles (Willy) Martin, 67, of Clarksville, IN, born October 1, 1958, in Louisville, KY to Russell and Anna Martin, passed away on January 27, 2026, at 6:45pm at Norton Healthcare Pavilion with family by his side. Charles passed after a brave and courageous fight against cancer.

Charles is survived by his children Jessica Vanover (Mike) and Tiffany Shelton (Scott), and his grandchildren Jordan Vanover, Alexander Dixon, Carter Shelton, Carson Shelton, and Grayson Vanover. He is also survived by his siblings Valeria Martin (Robert), Paul Martin (Marion) Charles is preceded in death by his father Russell Martin, mother Anna Mae (Grant) Martin, siblings Stephanie Carter, Virginia Ing, Russell Martin, and son Steven Martin.

Charles, known to many as Goodtyme Willy, who had a lifelong passion for music. He enjoyed karaoke and was always singing, finding connection and comfort through song.

Charles will be fondly remembered for his caring heart, joyful spirit, and unwavering love. Above all, his greatest joy was his two daughters and five grandsons. His warmth and laughter will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday February 2, 2026, from 12:00pm until 6:00pm with service at 6:30pm. Visitation and service will be held at Chapman Funeral Home, 431 W. Harrison Ave., Clarksville, Indiana. With cremation to follow.
