Carolynn Richey Obituary

Carolynn Richey, 83, died Monday, May 18, 2020 at Wedgewood Health Care Center in Clarksville. She was born in Louisville and was retired secretary for Porter Paint Company. She was a member of Ohio Falls United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Margaret Turner Shumate, a son, Michael Byerly, a step-son, David Richey and a sister, Elizabeth Ana Smith. 

Survivors include two sons, Donald Byerly of Paoli and Albert "A.J." Richey(Amy) of New Albany,  a step son, Gary Richey (Barbie) of Jeffersonville, a brother, Albert T. Shumate (Linda) of Jeffersonville and a sister, Janice F. Shumate of Clarksville., eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. 

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, May 22, 2020 and will be limited to 25 visitors at a time so there will may be a wait for admission. Funeral services will be private for the family with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contribution to Ohio Falls United Methodist Church.
