Carolyn Louise (Knoefel) Roby

Carolyn Louise Roby, 92, died Sunday, May 19, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Louisville, and was a retired Clinic Coordinator for the Indiana Services for Crippled Children. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, the Clarksville Historical Society and an avid animal lover.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. A.L. Roby.

Survivors include two sons, Stephen J. Bottorff (Mary Carol) of Utica, IN., and Kevin L. Bottorff (Barbara) of Redington Beach, Fl., a daughter, Candice L. Bottorff of Clarksville, grandchildren, Adam L. Bottorff (Jessica), Sean R. Bottorff, Tommy Board (Kris), Kristofer Board (Lisa), great-grandchildren, Connor L. Bottorff, Annabelle L. Bottorff, Carter Mae Bottorff, Isabella R. Board and Nina C. Board.

The family would like to thank Carolyn's hospice nurse, Amber McKinley, and her care givers Kate Spillman, Melissa Despain and Tina Vandersall for their excellent care.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 12:00 PM Friday, May 24, 2019 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Clarksville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville.  Visitation will be on Thursday, May 23, from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at Chapman Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to the J.B Ogle Animal Shelter, or the Floyd County Animal Shelter.
