Bennie Tyler Oakes

Bennie Tyler Oakes passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany. 

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Frank and Betty Patton, Jerry Stirn, Marva Eddings, Larry Oakes and Bill Brough.

He is survived by his parents, Tyler and Megan Stirn Oakes of Charlestown, two sisters, Maylie and Remi Oakes, grandparents, Patty and Dennie Simpson of Clarksville, Jeff and Mary Lou Stirn of Charlestown, Tammie and Travis Obremski of Jeffersonville, and Jeffrey Oakes of Clarksville, great-grandparents, Belva Stirn of Clarksville, Rebecca Worley of Jeffersonville and Dennie and Lu Simpson of Kentucky, aunts and uncles, Morgan and Aaron Hargett of Jeffersonville, Amanda and Zach Beedy of Henryville, Marley Oakes of Jeffersonville and Alec Oakes of Jeffersonville and four cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 31 at Chapman Funeral Home, 431 West Harrison Ave., Clarksville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville. Visitation on Tuesday will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM
