Amy Lovvorn Obituary

Amy Lyn Lovvorn, age 50, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, January 27, 2021. She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd "Sam" Lovvorn. 

Amy grew up in Clarksville and graduated from Clarksville High School class of 1988. She was a former employee of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles in New Albany and then became a CNA and worked at Clark Memorial Hospital and Lincoln Hills Nursing Home. 

She participated in many of the Triple Crown of Running races in Louisville and several Mini Marathons with her favorite running partner, her Mother, Sandy Vaughn

Amy loved God, her family and her friends. She never met a stranger and had a smile for everyone.

She is survived by her sons, Alex Jordan Richey of Portland, OR., Robby Fanning and Tanner Fanning of Clarksville, her mother, Sandy Vaughn and step-father Billy Vaughn. her sister, Lori Robinson (Geoff)  and niece Cassi of Louisville, brother, Mark Lovvorn (Vicki) of Fort Wayne, IN., and nephews Gavin (Bri) Lovvorn, David Lovvorn and Vincent Lovvorn of Fort Wayne, IN., and her fiance Tom Varble Jr.

The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Clark Memorial Hospital Emergency Room for their loving, kind heartwarming care who made this difficult time bearable. 

Funeral Services will be held at Colgate Baptist Church at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 2, 2021. Visitation at Chapman Funeral Home will be on Monday, February 01, from 2:00 to 8:00 PM and from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Colgate Baptist Church. Amy was an organ donor and cremation was chosen following the services. Her cremains will be interred in the mausoleum at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Colgate Baptist Church.
