Vernon Minton

Clarksville: Vernon Minton, 84, died Friday November 10, 2017 at Westminister Healthcare in Clarksville. He was a graduate of the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science, worked as a funeral director and embalmer for many years. He was retired from Algood Foods, and was a Baptist by faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife Pauline Minton and a son Marvin Minton.

Survivors include one son Melvin Minton (Margaret) of Jeffersonville, one daughter Darlene Smith (John Jr.) of Jeffersonville, one brother Troy Minton of Louisville, 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday November 14, 11:00 AM at Chapman Funeral Home, Clarksville, burial will follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 9:00 am until the time of service.
