Phyllis Ann (Egan) Harned

Phyllis Ann Egan Harned, 87, died Monday, August 21, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Jeffersonville and was the owner of The Bookshelf bookstore and a teacher. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Winnifred Throckmorton Egan and a son, Robert Harned IV.

Survivors include two daughters, Lee Ann Harp (Monty) of Jeffersonville and Sara Vetter of Jeffersonville, a brother, Maurice Egan of Jeffersonville, 5 Grandchildren and 7 Great-grandchildren. 

Cremation was chosen per her request. A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 PM on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Chapman Funeral Home. There will be a Celebration of Life service scheduled at a later date. Details will be published when available.

Expressions of Sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
