LaVerne Rhomance (Scott) Burton

LaVerne Rhomance Burton, 81, departed this life for heaven on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. LaVerne was born October 16, 1936 in Crawford County, Indiana and attended Ohio Falls United Methodist Church. LaVerne was a loving, caring, and very happy person all her life. You left us with beautiful memories.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Zachary Burton Dunn and a brother, Jarvis Scott.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years Fred Burton Jr., three daughters, Sheri (Sonny) VanCleve of Jeffersonville, Karen (Carl) Dunn of Jeffersonville and Sandy (Jimmy) Conklin of Clarksville, five grandchildren, Stacy VanCleve, Derrick VanCleve, Carl Edward Dunn, Alex Conklin and Kevin Conklin, five great-grandchildren, four siblings, Kitty Hicks of Floyd Knobs, Linda Jenkins of Borden, Tommy Scott of Floyd Knobs and Sabin Scott of Washington state.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 8:00 PM on Saturday, January 06, 2018 at Chapman Funeral Home, 431 West Harrison Ave., Clarksville, IN. Private burial at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
