Garrett Jones Obituary

Garrett "Bbitts" Jamison Jones, of Georgetown, Indiana, born on April 27, 1986 in Louisville, Kentucky, to Sheri (Smyrichinsky) Stewart (fiancee Robert Hudgins V) and Robert "Bud" Jones. Garrett peacefully passed away unexpectedly at the age of 33 on May 6, 2019 at home in his sleep in Georgetown, Indiana. You couldn't miss this tall handsome young man. He would smile from ear to ear. He was a Master Welder of 14 years working at Sentry Steel Inc in Louisville, Kentucky. He was just starting classes to further his education in this craft to better his skills at work. His experience as a Master Welder was a quite a feather in his cap as he was sought out across the county to some very specialized projects/contracted positions.

Garrett loved life pushing to the edges at times; however, he was excited about all the wonderful plans for this year..2019 was going to be his year! He was engaged to be married to his lovely high school sweetheart & fiancee Hope Espinosa and take on her daughter Selena to join their growing family. He loved to travel, enjoyed the beach, laughing, cooking and especially loved to draw. He was such a talented creative artist. Garrett spend hours reading the Bible as well as other great novels. Afterwards he would journal for hours, expressing himself with pen in hand. Poems, love stories or deep thoughts on life and learning or just doodling another artistic masterpiece. Everyone loved him.

He is survived by his children who will think of him as a loving father his son, Gage Jamison Jones 10 years old- a little chip off the block of his daddy, two peas in a pod- you would find the two of them either riding motorcycles, hiking, mowing the lawn or just helping Grandmother "Nana Suzie" Susianna Smyrichinsky with a home project; daughter, Porsche Blake Jones 15 years old, who was a real "Daddy's Girl" she was his biggest fan- Porsche recently posted that she will cherish all the times he helped her play the guitar, learn to skateboard, and enjoyed some quiet times with killer movies! He was the sweetest person on this planet with the biggest heart. Always had a hand extended to help everyone in need.

Garrett was preceded in death by his Ukrainian connection "Grandpa" Pete Smyrichinsky January 11, 2019 and rumor has it they must be checking out a few muscle cars or watching a hockey game together while watching those of us waiting our turn to arrive in Heaven. Garrett in addition to being very close to his Grandpa Pete was extremely close to his "Nana" Susianna Smyrichinsky. She was his biggest advocate and supporter in keeping him focused by keeping a fire under him and I know she is going to miss him especially as they had a very special bond. He was very helpful to her with mowing her lawn, doing auto or mechanical repairs, all around fix it guy, cooking, carrying heavy stuff and pleasantly the first grandchild on both sides of our families, he holds a very special place in all our hearts. He was just so cute with his long blonde curly hair and blue eyes accompanied by his bubbling personality it was easy to just spoil him. He loved camping, caving, climbing and loved the world and those who loved him. While visiting throughout the years in Florida to see his mother "Sheri Shea" they went to movie premieres, art gallery openings, car shows, museums, business meetings at the beach ;) and he even made a few commercials with good ole mama.

Garrett is survived by his younger brother, Xander Cody Stewart-Louisville, Kentucky (Amanda Chism-Fiancee); Sister-Lexy Shea Stewart of Fort Lauderdale Florida; as well as Lex Stewart who raised him as his son for many years while married to his mother Sheri (Smyrichinsky) Stewart. Uncle Terry & Aunt Ann Stewart. On the mother's side Smyrichinsky we have Uncle Tod and Aunt Julie Smyrichinsky-cousins- Nastashia "Stashia", Logan, Maverick, Emma, Shelby and Allie. Uncle Alan and Cindy Smyrichinsky cousin Ariel Smyrichinsky.

The Jones side grandfather, Robert "Poppy" Jones of Plymouth, Indiana & "Dodo" Sally Jones. On the Jones side he has 3 loving auntie's Kathy, Lori and Erin. accompanied by several cousins and uncles on the Jones side.

He also leaves behind his adored dog, Heaven.
