Lana Sue Gilbert- Hoskinson

Lana Sue Gilbert Hoskinson, 71, of Jeffersonville, IN passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at Kindred at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.  

She was born in Louisville, KY on November 26, 1951, to the late Clarence E. and Betty Jo Simpson. Lana was a Faithful Christian and a member of Gospel of Christ Assembly Church in Fairdale, KY. Her life consisted of attending church and spending time with her family (although she was often late). She was a talented singer and tambourine player. She cherished her children and grandchildren. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her two husbands, Wayne Gilbert and Larry Hoskinson; and her sister, Billie Sue Pedigo.  

She is survived by her daughters, Hope (David) Belden, and January (Robert) Luney both of Jeffersonville, IN; grandchildren, David Keith, Zachary, Bailey, Megan, Jesse, Remi, Geneci, Grady and Ronomy; a Great grandchild, Louella May, and a host of cousins, church family and friends.  

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Chapman Funeral Home, 431 West Harrison Avenue, Clarksville, Indiana. Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, September 22, 2023 at the funeral home. Her burial will be in Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, IN.
