Kathleen "Kathy" Coleman

Kathleen DeWees "Kathy"  Coleman, age 69, of Clarksville, Indiana passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at Baptist Health Floyd.

Kathy was born in Berkeley, California on December 31, 1953, to the late Carl Garbrough Sr and Ruth (DeWees) Garbrough. She was a Clarksville High School graduate, class of 1972. She married her husband, Ronnie Earl Coleman on December 27, 1974, who survives. Kathy cherished children and operated her child-care business for over 50 years. She was an active member at Howard Park Christian Church. Kathy loved cross stitch and needle-work and went with her sisters for a weekly sewing meeting every Monday at her mother’s house. She enjoyed birthday / New Year’s Eve celebrations with the family every year. She also enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family, and attending her grandson’s basketball games without missing a game.

She is preceded in death in addition to her parents by her four siblings, Connie Ogden, Shirley LaGroue, Carl Garbrough Jr. and Duke Garbrough

Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Earl Coleman, daughter, Christie Coleman of Clarksville and Tony Coleman of Clarksville; a grandson, DJ Coleman of Clarksville; sister, Mary Casey of Paoli.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. followed by a 2 p.m. memorial service at Chapman Funeral Home, 431 West Harrison Avenue, Clarksville, IN 47129
