In Loving Memory: Joyce Marie Johnson
Joyce Marie Johnson, a beloved mother, sister, and cherished member of her community,
passed away on Thursday, July 20th, 2023, in Louisville, Kentucky, at the age of 86. Born on April
27th, 1937, in Loretto, Kentucky, she was the daughter of James E and Mary Izola Newton and
one of eight siblings.

She worked as a bank teller, a rental agent for Avis, and a clerk for CVS. Her friendly demeanor
left a lasting impression on those she worked with.

She is survived by her son Jack Helsley (Peggy Moran), grandson Mack Moran-Helsley,  and her siblings William E Newton, Joseph R Newton,
Nancy Reitano, Mary Wilma Lenhart, and Charlotte Peak. Their love and support provided her
with strength and comfort throughout her journey.

Joyce was predeceased by her beloved husband, Bill Johnson, who passed away in 1991.

She was not only cherished by her family but also much beloved by her neighbors and friends in
the community.

Joyce will be laid to rest at Resthaven Cemetery. Details regarding the memorial services to
celebrate her life will be announced later.

As we bid farewell to Joyce Marie Johnson, we cherish the memories she gifted us and the love
she bestowed upon us all. May she find eternal peace.
