James R Burdin Sr

James R. Burdin Sr, 71, of Elizabeth, IN passed away at his residence at 3:50 p.m. on June 24, 2023. 

He was born on June 1, 1952 in Louisville, KY to the late Sheldon and Doris Stotts Burdin. He was a US Army Veteran and a retired mechanic for Marshall's Salvage Yard. 

He is survived by his children, Rebecca Kelly of Elizabeth, Kerry Smith of New Albany, James Burdin Jr of New Albany, Ryan Rabideau of Clarksville, Ashley Burdin of New Hampshire, and Nick Burdin of New Hampshire; his eight grandchildren, Cody Reas, Cameron Reas, Marrisha Smith, Demetreaus Smith, Jolie Rabideau, Brayden Jones, Emmett Soles, and Justice Burdin; his three great grandchildren, Tristen Allen, Grayson Young, and Adrianna Reas; three siblings, Richard Burdin, Debbie Famularo, and Doug Burdin. 

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 27th from 4-8 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home 431 West Harrison Ave, Clarksville, IN. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with visitation starting at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
